TimeZone validation issue

Post by jackouille »

Hi,
I have installed Cacti 1.2.21 on Rocky 8 with PHP 8.1.8, MariaDB 10.3.32-2 and while performing the new install I got the following error:
date.timezone >= Error A valid timezone that matches MySQL and the system

On DB I have:
MariaDB [(none)]> SELECT @@GLOBAL.time_zone, @@SESSION.time_zone;
+--------------------+---------------------+
| @@GLOBAL.time_zone | @@SESSION.time_zone |
+--------------------+---------------------+
| Europe/Zurich | Europe/Zurich |
+--------------------+---------------------+

Within PHP:
[root@cacti1 ~]# grep zone /etc/php.ini
; Defines the default timezone used by the date functions
; https://php.net/date.timezone
date.timezone = Europe/Zurich

And on system side:
[root@cacti1 ~]# timedatectl
Local time: Sun 2022-07-31 10:45:28 CEST
Universal time: Sun 2022-07-31 08:45:28 UTC
RTC time: Sun 2022-07-31 08:45:28
Time zone: Europe/Zurich (CEST, +0200)
System clock synchronized: yes
NTP service: active
RTC in local TZ: no

What could be the root issue ?

Does the other browser still have issues? If so, open a ticket on GitHub.

Oh, okay. Glad you worked through it then. The TimeZone stuff should be pretty solid by now, but there is the issue of upgrades that seem to have bitten you. We don't do much upgrade testing from the 0.8.x versions any more. So, things pop up from time to time and this is a pretty recent feature.
