CMDPHP Validation Error, Variable:graph_height, Value:NaN Backtrace:

Post by gene1 »

Hello, having an issue after upgrading from 1.2.19 > 1.2.21 with error below. Currently running CentOS 7.9, php 7.4

2022/06/01 15:13:18 - CMDPHP Validation Error, Variable:graph_height, Value:NaN Backtrace: (/graph_json.php[46]:get_filter_request_var(), /lib/html_utility.php[508]:die_html_input_error(), /lib/html_validate.php[55]:cacti_debug_backtrace())

Would appreciate advice on troubleshooting this error log.

Please log this one on GitHub and let us know more about how you went about re-producing.

Hello,

Thank you for the advice. Before I post on github would like to check if NAN graphs are causing this error.

Currently in my cacti 95% of my graphs are functioning with no issues. Only some graphs are showing NAN but from what I understand from my network team those graphs showing NAN are expected as they are unused ports (E.g. no lan cable connecting from the switch port to our servers yet).

May I know if this would be the cause of seeing repeated errors of the below ?

2022/06/08 15:23:54 - CMDPHP Validation Error, Variable:graph_height, Value:NaN Backtrace: (/graph_json.php[46]:get_filter_request_var(), /lib/html_utility.php[508]:die_html_input_error(), /lib/html_validate.php[55]:cacti_debug_backtrace())

But the issue is prior to the upgrade these graphs showing NAN are already present but we did not notice this error in the logs previously compared to now where it appears every minute.

Kindly advice.

Once you log an issue on GitHub, then we will take a look at it for you, but you need to get the steps you used to reproduce this documented. It's summer time, and it's easier for you to do that than us to have to hack all the steps to reproduce it ourselves. Otherwise, we will be out doing yard work, riding out bicycles, or hanging out at the beach (which sounds real good at the moment).

Hello, thank you for the advice. We managed to replicate the issue at our end but decided not to pursue this further as it is not affecting operational needs. We will proceed to close this.
