WARNING: Invalid Response

Post by bobthenewguy »

alright guys I'm very raw in both linux and cacti I have an issue I don't know where to start with I ask you respond to me like you would talk to a child, but don't make fun this is a pet project to spark continued interest in the linux and cacti platforms.

I have a device that will kick out an error WARNING: Invalid Response then it references the offending device. This device is a router, and it typically happens when my vpn bounces between sites or a router reboots in the wrong order. i've found if I reboot my router and the FEND router i can fix the error, but recently found if I simply click run verbose query on the device in cacti it also fixes the problem. so the question... is there a way for cacti to acknowledge this alarm, automatically kick off the verbose query so I no longer have to babysit this device? I appreciate your time in advance.
