Graphs with gaps in Cacti 0.8.8f

Post by Rikii16 »

Hello Everyone,

We have an issue with gaps in randon graphs

We have Cacti 0.8.8f , I attached an image of the configuration Poller
SYSTEM STATS: Time:184.9866 Method:spine Processes:5 Threads:20 Hosts:260 HostsPerProcess:52 DataSources:246364 RRDsProcessed:132535
In the logs we saw the following:
02/22/2022 03:11:05 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] WARNING: SS[2] The PHP Script Server did not respond in time and will therefore be restarted

So we don't know if that is a bug in this version or we have something wrong in the poller configuration

Best,

I managed a cacti install of 0.8.8 that had a similar issue. It turns out we had exceeded the capabilities of what our server could handle. We decided to upgrade to a 1.x install and to install cacti on a vm platform allowing us to install multiple "Remote" pollers and spread the work over several servers. Now when the work load gets too heavy we simply add a new poller to the cluster. Are you graphing stats for the cacti server, if so check that for cpu useage, memory usage.

Also check your log for failed snmp requests.

Thanks for the Info, We still have the issue, but we are planning the migration to VM Infraestructure and Cacti upgrade 1.x.
Do you know what specifications should we have to be able to support the load we currently have?
