remove_device.php generates error

I am using Cacti 1.2.15 with MariaDB-10.4.21-1 and PHP 7.3.24. While trying to remove device from cacti using the command remove_device.php, it is throwing error without deleting the device. Output of command with error:

root@server>php /usr/share/cacti/cli/remove_device.php --description=test-vm --confirm
ERROR: Unable to find host in the database matching desciption (test-vm)[/b]

Can anyone help on this?
