Weathermap not showing descriptions/ifalias

Good day all,

we have migrated to cacti 1.2.2 from version 0.98 but via a fresh installation and no data migrated.
Weathermap is installed and working, however when trying to select interfaces in the map, the ifalias is not shown which makes the whole process cumbersome.

Has anyone experienced this and how was it able to solve it?

Have you made sure to use thurban's version of weathermaps that has some fixes in it for working with 1.2.x

Yes, im using the one from the github. The strange is that the descriptions do show when i'm seeing the graphs in cacti itself.

I had to reapply suggested names to my data sources then it worked
