Cacti 1.2.17 is not graphing

Dear all,
I installed a fresh copy of 1.2.17 on an Ubuntu Linux server. My cacti not graphing and I am seeing these errors on the logs. In fact, I am using SPINE which I had already installed successfully so I am wondering why I am getting CMD as poller in my log. The roller_boost.php is own by the www-data which is the owner of the cacti folder. Please can you help?

It seems that boost folder has incorrect rights. Add write rights for web server and for the user who is running poller to this directory. For example I have in my installation:
drwxrwxr-x 2 cacti www 1333248 28 5 10:59 boost. (your web server user is www-data).

I notice that if i tried to change owner of the directory:
gerald@ict:$ sudo chown cacti:www-data /var/www/html/cacti

But if I do:

This means cacti user exist in the cacti database but not in the Linux server. Is this issue why it poller is not working except I ran it manually?

Your misconstruing linux users vs mysql users, which are completely different.

The first thing I would do is go into Cacti, and goto Console > Settings > Performance > Enable Image Caching and disable it and see if that resolves your issue. Otherwise you are going to have to figure out your permission issue.

Your not giving us much to go off of. Try the Data Source Troubleshooter (under Troubleshooting on the Console). Run a Check on one of the data sources giving you trouble.

Method is spine. But only two Datasources? That's quite a few.

Try to switch to cmd poller instead of spine. Enable one device debug and show cacti debug messages from log.
