Unable to Preview Graphs

Hello,

Please Kindly assist me with cacti 1.2.16, was working fine, but after some time started showing the error as attached in the image.

The below is an extract from the log sample
'2021-04-22 14:35:01 - SPINE: Poller[Main Poller] PID[28012] ERROR: SS[0] Script Server did not start properly return message was: '

OS is ubuntu 18.0.4
I have replaced the cacti folder with a fresh one in the /var/www/html/cacti
configured conf.php to point to my database

Note: it has been a fresh installation so i did not need to move the old .rrd files

That is all and am able to see my graphs again.
