1.2.16 install probs - permission issue?

Hi,

I'm installing 1.2.16 on a Fedora 33 workstation and I'm running into problems where, when I edit /etc/php.ini and change memory_limit, max_execution_time and date.timezone, and the restart httpd, Cacti does not reflect these changes when refreshed. Could this be a permissions problem? php.ini is root:root.

Try to run this script:

phpinfo();
?>

There you can find which php.ini path is used (Configuration File (php.ini) Path), current values for memory_limit, ...

Ok, I ran phpinfo in an interactive shell (php -a), and it gave me results for max_execution_time, memory_limit, and date.time that I had confgured. Cacti, however doesn't pick these up.

Further to this, I checked the /etc/passwd file on my existing server and found a user 'cacti'. All of my .rrd files are user:group cacti on the existing server. No such user exists on the new install and the .rrd files are user:group tony, which is predictable since I copied the files from the old server and installed them under my login. Did I miss a vital step in the process, and should I create a cacti user?
