Admin Group Permission

Post by Achea9 »

Hi All,

I ma trying to set up a Administration Group for cacti, who has a full permission to cacti just like the default cacti admin user.
This Group I call it LDapGr has LDAP settings working properly, but users of this Group when they login to cacti, cacti shows them a read only Permission.
I tried to change thr Permission of the LDapGr under cacti settings:
1) I have no save Button to save thiese settings I did under Permission Tab
2) I Go to to the General Tab under User Groups to save my Permission settings. It says yes every thing is saved.
3) I get back to Permission Tab to see my setiings, but there the Permission I set up at the beginning is no more set.

Because I belong to the LDapGr, i don't actually need to create a user with my name, but I created a user with my name, make this user a member of the LDapGr and try to give this user a admin Permission. I face the same Problem of not saving my permission settings.

May I ask, why we don't have a Button for Permissions to save? What is the right way to give LDapGr full Permission? I have read the Documents on GitHub, but I couldn't get it work, unfortunately. That is why I decided to ask for help in this Forum.

Can some somebody help me solve this issue, please? Thanks a Lot.

SOLVED!!!

Unblievable but true:-)

The Problem is that the save Button is hidden behind the Monitore size and there is no scroller on the permission page so that we can scroll far to the right side of the Page, where the Button is to be seen. Now, every thing works as expected.

I don't know if this is a BUG? maybe. cacti 2.1.15 i am using and I would say a scroller on the Users Permission page is MISSING.

Cheers

There was a new icon added to the upper right side of the filter panel that allows you to turn off the responsive filtering. This was added in 1.2.16.
