No graph data only realtime data

HI all

Cacti version 0.8.8c OS - Centos6

I have taken over this system but am not adept at linux or at cacti i have to admin it

For a while now the cacti log has been growing and then truncated/deleted/purged by the previous admin. Recently the log grew to 92gb (120GB drive) and everything stopped and would not restart due to no space. I renamed the log file, waited for a new generation and deleted the old. 25GB used space now. Since then cacti will not display any graph data. It will show realtime data

From the forums I have done the following (its a virtual machine plenty of resources available):

Changed poller times to 5 mins
Rebuilt the poller cache several times
Changed the log retention to 3 days
Changed the permissions on the /usr/share/cacti folder to 777
Changed the owner of the directory from 1000 USERS to CACTI CACTI
Changed the permissions on the /var/lib/cacti folder to 777
Changed the owner of the directory from root USERS to CACTI CACTI
Changed cacti user to bin/bash, su to that user and ran php /usr/local/cacti/poller.php - no output
The cronjob file is empty i dont see any poller reference in there
To be sure i changed the DNS server in resolve.conf and Ifcfg-eth0 to a different DNS server to eliminate connections to the devices
I have checked "System Utilities -> Tech Support" to verify that the table poller output is there but i only have the below which do not look right

I have been at this for a while, with my limited experience i am not getting anywhere fast. Restoring the VM is a no go as this issue started previous to our oldest VM backup

I dont know if this is a poller issue, a RRD ownership issue, an SQL issue or a user permissions issue. I am totally lost. I feel its an SQL issue but have no clue how to manage sql on a linux non domain joined machine

Is there any advice you guys can give where to start?

Following php /var/www/cacti/cli/repair_database.php there is no folder path and i cannot find this php either

Ya, you are running a super old version of Cacti, so that script was added later.

You can just run the mysql command yourself from the command line

found the db, cacti as the generic name

Ran your command against it, and then verified with the repair db and no error completed sucessfully

rebuilt poller, restarted cacti to be sure and changed polling back to 1 minute

We got data on the graphs!
