Rogue data sources created

Post by dna404 »

Greetings!

My apologies if this has been addressed before but my searching found nothing.

I am running ver 1.2.2 and when running a Data Query on the graph creation page or adding a new graph I have a very odd result: Duplicate data sources and graphs are created for all interfaces (even ones already made). The newly created graphs (except the one I wanted to make) will never create the rrd. Adding any new graphs or running the query to populate new data requires me to then remove all the duplicate graphs and data sources manually. This is happening with every device I collect data from. I have tried rebuilding the poller cache and re-indexing the DB to no avail.

I wanted to get this addressed before I upgrade to the latest release.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I would check your automation rules (disable them all and see if the creation problem disappears). Are the duplicate resources utilizing the exact same sub graph template? Say for instance you have 64 Bit graphs created already, your automation may be creating the 32 bit versions of those same graphs.

Hey thanks for the reply.

You are the man. Seems like someone (who will be flogged immediately) decided to create another automation rule for "testing" and did not notify me. Removed the duplicate and we are all good.

Thanks again!
