Storing decimal values in RRD

Post by drenny »

Hi all

short question: is there a way to store a decimal value in a RRD-File (for example: temperature 21.7°C)?
currently i'am using the data source type GAUGE but this "stripps" of the .7 of the temperature...

I actually think you are wrong. Guages store as doubles. You might want to look at the GPRINT you are using. COUNTERS store as integers, but there are DOUBLE COUNTERS too depending on your RRDtool version.
