Hot to delete graph from tree
This sure seems like it should be easy, but how to do it is totally baffling me.
We're running Cacti V 1.2.8
The Graph tree looks like this:
Root
--Branch One
---- Sub-Branch One
A graph that should have been on "Sub-Branch One" was placed on "Branch One".
how do you delete it?

Re: Hot to delete graph from tree
Drag and drop to move it, right click delete to remove it.

Re: Hot to delete graph from tree
Hello,
Sorry if I was not clear. It's individual graphs that are in the wrong part of the tree. I see how I can delete the branches of the tree, but not the actual graphs that are under that branch.
If it's simple as right click, where in Cacti do I need to be to do that?
Thanks again.

Place the cursor on the item you wish to remove and right click. A menu should drop down allowing you to remove it.

Re: Hot to delete graph from tree
OK, I must have totally lost my mind, as I still see no way to delete graphs (or even list the graphs). Here is what I'm doing:
- Choose Management
- Choose Trees
- Choose the root
- Click "Edit Tree"
- Choose the branch I want to clean up
In the left I see "tree items" and I can right click / delete there, but I don't want to delete the tree items, I want to delete graphs that are "under" those items. On the right I see Available Sites, Available Devices and Available Graphs.
What am I missing?

Re: Hot to delete graph from tree
You may be looking under a site or a device object. You don't have the ability to remove graphs from those object types. They are meta-objects and not Graphs. If you want to remove a users permission to see a Graph, you do that from the user, or preferably user group permissions page.

Re: Hot to delete graph from tree
Let me try to explain this again. Here is what part of our tree looks like:
Root
--Branch One
---- Sub-Branch One
Graphs were added at "Branch One" and they should not have been put there. They were then added (a second sent) under "Sub-Branch One" (where they actually should be). I now want to delete the graphs from "Branch One" as they do not belong there.
I don't want to totally delete the graphs (and loose all the hosting) I just want to remove them from the wrong branch in the tree.
Does that help?

You should be able to drag them around.

Re: Hot to delete graph from tree
I'm in Console, Management, Trees, Root Tree. When I click on a branch, I see Available Sites, Devices and Graphs, but not any graphs that are under that branch in the tree.
Can you provide a screen shot of what a sample system should look like / where I can drag / delete?

This is what you will see below. The graph is under the tree branch.

Re: Hot to delete graph from tree
Thank you very much. I had my ah ha moment. We have dozens of devices on each branch of the tree, so I simply had not scrolled down enough.
