Cacti logged data location. MySQL or only .RRD

Post by braeden »

Hi,

I am looking to use cacti as a frontend for setting up collection of data on our network, then pulling this data into another system for reporting.

Does cacti drop data collected by the poller into its mySQL database at any point, or only store and and display things like ping latency from the .rrd files?

Cheers

Both, depending on setup.

Fantastic,

Where in the setup can I define this, and where in the database are these recorded to?

Any pointers you can give are much appreciated.

Cheers
