Hi Forum.
Hoping for some help.
Would like to create a template where it gets and polls dynamic PPPoE interfaces on a Mikrotik router. I currently do this by hitting the simple queue that comes along with it, but some connections dont have simple queues, and if I do the interface directly of course once it disconnects and reconnects its a new ifIndex so changes around.
I'd love to be able to map it to by the ifName - and if possible even do a re-write of the ifName, as sometimes if a user logs back in before the old session has timed out they come on with username-1 or username-2, so I'd like to be able to rewrite all them to just username, and never create a duplicate (as I sometimes get now)
Is this possible? Anyone else successfully graph PPPoE clients without shitloads of overhead management?
Thanks,
Joe

In the same vein, have it so it easily detects a down/up event and instead of doing a counter overrun maybe pushes in a 0 record or something so it doesnt spike the graph to some crazy amount of bandwidth.
