How to monitor DSLAM huawei ma5616

Post by mtb »

Hello
Any one knows how to monitor dslam huawei ma5616 in Cacti. I have added this switch in devices. Cacti picked up its Ethernet and DSLAM interfaces, it makes graphs of Ethernet interfaces only. It is not creating the graphs of DSLAM interfaces of this switch. Any one have any idea, how to monitor this type of switches in Cacti.

It sounds like you would need to create a custom template that utilises the OID's that are exposed for the DSLAM (assuming they are exposed via SN\MP). I haven't looked anything up myself but normally you need to look at the MIB's from the supplier which detail what's available. Depending on how they are offered you may be able to use the normal SNMP Query or SNMP Indexed Query options though for anything more complicated you may have to write a script server script.

If you are really lucky, someone may have already created a template and either post a link to it or be found via google.
