Hi
I am new to the forum and new to Cacti monitoring. I am looking for a solution to monitor individual switches in my Cisco Stacked switches. I currently have 5 cisco sg500 -52ports stacked and would like to monitor each switch individually. I am currently running 0.8.8f version of Cacti and are unware on how to monitor each switch in stack. I did manage to create a community in the cisco stack and add the stack as a device in Cacti. URL article http://www.techspacekh.com/monitoring-c ... plication/
After testing by powering down a switch in the stack and Cacti did not report the switch down, I need a solution to monitor each switch individually. Does anyone know how the monitoring of individual switch in a cisco stack can be done with Cacti?

Re: Monitor individual switch in Cisco Stack with Cacti Ques
Unfortunately, I don't have a set of Cisco switches let alone in stacked form. It really depends f you can query each device on it's own iP for SNMP? If not, the best you are likely to get is a range of ports all being identified as being offline at the same time.
