Network Weathermap 0.98a Released

Post by Howie »

There is a new release of Network Weathermap - v0.98a.

https://www.network-weathermap.com/2019 ... -that-one/

THIS IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH CACTI 1.x

Main features of this release are PHP 7 database compatibility and a new license (MIT).

Download link and release notes: https://github.com/howardjones/network- ... sion-0.98a

Manual (no changes): http://network-weathermap.com/manual/latest/
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

You are using an rrd file that isn't for a standard network traffic graph, so you have to tell weathermap which data is the input and output data.

It is telling you what the options are: nonunicast_out and nonunicast_in

So your TARGET should probably be:

/opt/cacti/rra/cis-2960-infra_nonunicast_out_105.rrd:nonunicast_in:nonunicast_out

But also, Weathermap is expecting BYTE counters, so it multiplies by 8. I don't think you have that here - those look like packet counters, so you need to tell weathermap not to multiply, like this:

gauge:opt/cacti/rra/cis-2960-infra_nonunicast_out_105.rrd:nonunicast_in:nonunicast_out

But keep in mind that you will NOT have a map of bandwidth after all this!
