After upgrading (1.1.38 -> 1.2.2) Host MIB templates fail

Post by pngoossens »

Hi all,

I've recently upgraded from Cacti 1.1.38 to 1.2.2. The upgrade process went smoothly. However, data sources based on the following default data templates are no longer being updated:
  • Host MIB - Processes
  • Host MIB - Logged in users
For example, the following log entry is presented for one of the affected data sources:

Code: Select all

2019-03-21 14:41:28 - POLLER: Poller[Main Poller] Device[PBX] DS[PBX - Processes] Graphs[PBX - Processes] SNMP: v2: 192.168.0.15, dsname: proc, oid: .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.1.6.0, output: U
Executing snmpget from machine running Cacti returns a valid response:

Code: Select all

# snmpget -v2c -c public 192.168.0.15 .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.1.6.0
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrSystemProcesses.0 = Gauge32: 172
Both Host MIB templates come with Cacti and use the Get SNMP Data input method. I'm also using the custom Net-SNMP - CPU - User data template which relies on Get SNMP Data as well. This data template works without a hitch, for example:

Code: Select all

2019-03-21 14:41:28 - POLLER: Poller[Main Poller] Device[PBX] DS[PBX - CPU - Idle] Graphs[PBX - CPU Utilization] SNMP: v2: 192.168.0.15, dsname: cpu_nice, oid: .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.11.0, output: 95
I've compared the templates and all relevant settings (min/max values, data source type) are the same.

Does anyone know what's going on? Any help will be much appreciated!

Check the data source info for those sources. Try the troubleshooting -> Data Sources section.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've examined both options but unfortunately their output (screenshots attached) doesn't help me in resolving the issue. Any other suggestions?

You have three warnings there, what are those warnings?

To be honest, I have no idea where I can get more information about the warnings. I expected to see some details when hovering over the icons, but alas. There's nothing about these warnings in the logs either. Where should I go to find more information?
