Just how brave do I need to be? Long time Cacti user (going back to 2004 or so) but boy have I been out of touch insofar as to new releases etc. I see 1.2.1 resolves some vulnerabilities per US-CERT plus heck 0.8.8h is pretty durn old. Good news is it's been running smoothly all this time!
I did download 1.2.1 Windows .zip to our Cacti server which runs Windows Server 2012R2. Is there anything else besides copy files etc. also are there files I shouldn't copy?
Also lots and logs of kudos to this forum it has saved my bacon several times!
Upgrade from 0.8.8h to 1.2.1???? Out of the question or?

If you are using the Sources, you are going to have to make sure you get RRDTool, MySQL, etc. We are working on an updated Windows installer, but I don't know if that's been made available yet.

I upgraded from 0.8.8g to 1.1.33 with no issues, however, did not use the same server.
On a new Windows Server, I used the Cacti Windows Installer, restored the mysql backup over the new database, and then followed the wizard via the Cacti Post-Install shortcut.
