cactid installed, not updating rrd?

Post by cactiduser »

I've just installed cactid (apparently) without any problems. The install lives in /usr/local/cactid and the cactid.conf has been edited and copied to /etc/cactid.conf. I'm running "/usr/local/cactid/bin/cactid" from crontab every 5 minutes. However, my graphs don't appear to be updating.

Here's the output from running "/usr/local/cactid/bin/cactid" manually:

CACTID: Using cactid config file [/etc/cactid.conf]
CACTID: MYSQL: Connecting to MySQL database 'cacti' on 'localhost'...
CACTID: Version 0.8.6c starting
CACTID: Execution Time: 25.8046 s, Threads: 1, Hosts: 27

It appears to be grabbing the data properly, but not updating the RRD? I've changed on the web interface under Configuration->Settings:

Path->Cactid Poller File Path: /usr/local/cactid/bin/cactid
Poller->Poller Type: cactid

Any ideas?

There is a table in mysql called poller_output. It may be so loaded with data that the updating of the RRD files is just stalled.

Try truncating the poller_output table and then rerun.

Since I'm 25% French Canadian, I guess I will forgive you... This is a common problem.
