I have two isolated networks, both monitored with Cacti. Both Cacti servers run the same OS (Solaris , Apache, Perl, and RRD versions. One server works great. The server on the other network is having difficulty.
The one having difficulty seems to be polling all the devices perfectly. There are no errors reported by the poller.php script (even in debug mode). When I view the graphs for a router, I can see the graphs for Chassis temp, CPU load, and interface errors just fine. The graphs for the bits in/out, though, are not displayed at all (little red 'X' is displayed). The apache error log is giving me the following error when the page is displayed:
ERROR: invlaid rpn expression 'a,8,*'
So I am not sure what's going on. This is harder to nail down since it's not completely broken. I am taking over this system from someone who has already left which makes it more difficult (I have no prior Cacti experience, but I have lots of perl/SNMP/PHP/MySQL experience).
Anyone got suggestions? I am wondering if it's maybe a 64-bit counter issue, but thats a stab in the dark. What table should I look in to see what values the poller is collecting for the interface counters?
All help is greatly appreciated.
