RRD file does not exist

Recently I am install Cacti Version 0.8.8a. I am getting some devices show graph smoothly and some devices show this error " the rrd file does not exist ".
please someone tell me how to solve this problem ?

No offense, but if you are just installing Cacti, why would you choose a legacy version that isn't being actively supported? You would get far more help if you installed the newer branch (1.1.x). Secondly, you need to provide a bit more information, such as OS, (Linux/Windows), OS version may help as well.

That's a really old version of Cacti. The normal things apply though, check that a poller is scheduled to run via cron or task scheduler. Check that the permissions on the folders are correct. Etc.
