LDAPS configuration

Post by zuessi »

Hi there,

I am running cacti 1.1.27 on a windows 2012R2 server.
I didn't manage to get ldaps configured - I always get the message "unable to connect to server".

Anyone has got such a setup running?

LDAPS is merely LDAP over SSL/TLS. What I would do is, first test the LDAP connectivity using normal LDAP on port 389. Once you have that configuration working, then enable the SSL or TLS option. In the User Domains section, you can specify Encryption as None. If that works, then it would maybe your DNS name and certificate do not match when using SSL/TLS.

You can enable or disable the encryption used via the "Encryption" option against the LDAP domain. If you still believe this to be correct, check that you don't have any firewalls or IP restrictions in place that prevent access from the cacti system.
