Unable to create graphs for devices

Post by TPCoMatt »

Hello,

I have not added new devices to my Cacti setup for a while, but I had a need to do so recently. I noticed that I cannot seem to create graphs for the hosts I am adding. When I click on the 'verbose query', I outputs a lot of text, but the end result is always still "Success [0 Items, 0 Rows]". This is happening across a few different devices.

I am positive that the correct SNMP info is entered, as the header of the page is showing the proper System/Hostname/Uptime info that I would imagine would not be attainable if the SNMP community / port was incorrect.

I'm running v1.0.4 in an AWS EC2 instance (this is also the latest version AWS has in their repo).

I am seeing things like:

2017-08-07 09:06:55 - POLLER: Poller[1] Device[32] DS[1424] SNMP: v2: 192.168.111.2, dsname: 5min_cpu, oid: .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.58.0, output: U
2017-08-07 09:06:55 - POLLER: Poller[1] Device[33] DS[1431] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result: U

repeated a bunch, referencing different hosts, and different oid's.

I'm somewhat at a loss as to what's happening, and hoping someone here can guide/assist me.

Thanks!

Is your device providing this OIDs?
Please make a snmpwalk with the OID to see if the device is providing this OIDs.
