Good Day,
I'm a Intern, working on a Network Company, and i'm studying Cacti, trying to learn how to use Graphs and Templates. I found an old topic (http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f ... 5&start=30) about 95th Percentile Graphs. I'm thinking about doing the same thing, but instead, only using the Burst Bandwidth (Exclude 5% of the most high values OVER the bandwidth, or a 95th percentile of the Burst)
For example, i'm graphing a 4Gb/s Bandwidth connection, Last Month
I want to calculate the 95th Percentile only using values above that line.
I thought about creating a graph with values over the bandwidth and applying the percentile rule over it. Has anyone done this before?
Possibilities: Using more than one interface, like a aggregation graph(for example a interface using 1Gb/s and another using 500Mb/s) and calculating the percentile of the sum (when the sum is above 1,5Gb/s)
And I want to thank you all for the help I got with Weathermap and Graphing Problems, even with Migration issues. It's so informative.
Have a nice day.
Victor

Re: 95th Percentile of the Burst Bandwidth
What you describe is not possible with Cacti.
