Cacti new version - RRA

Post by Wirthmueller »

Before version 1 RRA settings was located in the Management>Data Sources>RRAs and one could easily add another RRA.

In the new version above 1 I could find the RRA setting in Management>Data Sources and then individually under each Data Source name, but I could not find how I could add a new RRA (i.e 1 minute average).

Any help to this?

Since cacti 1.x, you create a new RRA set under Presets->Data Profile. For each data source, you associate a data profile and not individual RRAs any more.

Fast forward to 2020.09.22 and the documentation still doesn't mention this!

I'm trying to migrate an old, messy 0.8.7 install to the current latest 1.2.14 on a new server and this is getting so frustrating. It looks like the documentation hasn't been updated forever and the screenshots don't even come close to matching what I'm seeing in 1.x versions.
