Upgrade lost DB configuration?

Post by brencklen1 »

I upgraded a CentOS 7 box and Cacti went from version 0.8.8 (?) to 1.0.4 unexpectedly. I completed the upgrade steps from the readme and still have a few lingering issues. The cron job completes with no issues, but the web interface is not functional. There are no graphs visible, and clicking the 'monitor' tab gives the error "Access denied for user 'apache'@'localhost' (using password: NO)" despite the correct host/db/user/pw in /usr/share/cacti/include/config.php (a sym link to /etc/cacti/db.conf?) I added a few print lines to monitor.php and the variables $database_[username,pasword,default,hostname] are all correct. Just for grins I made a user apache@localhost and gave it permissions, only to get an error that the database wasn't selected. Its losing its settings somewhere along the way generating the page.

The graphs tab is also blank, no error printed.

Before I go about doing a complete reinstall, anyone have any fixes/ideas?

Thanks,
-Nick
