Capturing RF Spectrum Data?

Post by JMH »

I found a program that can gather RF data off of modems that are set up as probes. Is it possible to get another graph set up to store this data in Cacti?

Not sure if there is an "RF" Graph in Cacti, or if there are threshold points that can be used to capture snapshots of when RF drops to a certain level?

A few more specifics would be helpful to answer that.

What is the make and model of the modem?

If the device exposes it's data via SNMP then yes cacti can graph it. May have to build the template, but certainly doable.

Even if the data is only exposed via command line, a script could be written to present the data to Cacti for graphing.
