Lost my cacti but I have the RRD files can I restore back?

Post by tribalglow »

Help!!

So We have a Netgear ReadyNAS 312 which was pretty cool where we can install apps on it one of them was Cacti. Well I upgraded the ReadyNAS to 6.6.1 and lost my cacti..... Ok fast forward I got Cacti re-installed and I have my original folders of Cacti but mysql DB got dropped. So my question is.... Can I restore my historical data back to Cacti (even if I have to manually re-enter in my data sources) using just the RRD files?

Any advice or similar sob story would help.

Thank you!

You will have to figure out what data goes where and then you can merge the RRDtool files. No easy task.
