Issue while using Weather Map with PHP 7.08

Post by andermitzakis »

Hello Gents,

We have installed Cacti 0.8.8f and the Weather Map version 0.98 on an ubuntu 16.04 server. It seems that Weather Map is correctly installed and intergraded within Cacti however once we try to add a Weather Map we do get the following error:

[Sat Sep 24 17:36:51.118074 2016] [:error] [pid 4509] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function mysql_real_escape_string() in /usr/share/cacti/site/plugins/weathermap/weathermap-cacti-plugin-mgmt.php:837\nStack trace:\n#0 /usr/share/cacti/site/plugins/weathermap/weathermap-cacti-plugin-mgmt.php(274): add_config('mylocal.conf&apos\n#1 {main}\n thrown in /usr/share/cacti/site/plugins/weathermap/weathermap-cacti-plugin-mgmt.php on line 837, referer:

It seems like Weather Map does not support 7.x versions of PHP. As a possible solution to the issue would you suggest installing PHP 5.6 or using a solution like PHP-FTM ?

Last, the log on Cacti does not show any information relevant to the Weather Map issue except this part:

9/24/2016 06:152 PM - WEATHERMAP: Poller[0] Weathermap 0.98 starting - Normal logging mode. Turn on DEBUG in Cacti for more information
09/24/2016 06:152 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time.4770 Method:cmd.php Processes:1 Threads:N/A Hosts:2 HostsPerProcess:2 DataSources:13 RRDsProcessed:7

Thank you,

Andreas

5.6 would be a solution for now.

More info here: https://network-weathermap.com/2016/09/ ... nt-issues/
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)
