Need help! Gprint Exact Numbers not exact!

Post by lowberg »

Hey guys, My cacti is receiving numbers from script output to graph network traffic in bits/sec

I have GPRINTS set up on the legend for each IP address to list the LAST value with Exact Numbers.

Cacti log file is confirming the correct numbers recorded from the script, but the GPRINT is wrong.

For example:
Script output value = 38,100,000 GPRINT = 38,102,667
Script output value = 16,600 GPRINT = 16,489
Script output value = 0 GPRINT = 1
Script output value = 1,080,000 GPRINT = 1,072,801

It's almost like it's doing some weird average with the last plotted point, or pulling the data incorrectly.

Here is screenshots of my issues

I tried to replicate this with a dummy script that outputs set values, it graphs them correctly with the correct GPRINT, but when I change my dummy script to output a different value it does the strange arithmetic.

I would really appreciate any help!!!
