I am running ubuntu 14.04LTS and had install Cacti via apt-get install cacti when I initially installed it. It was running great but I wanted to upgrade to 0.8.8h which was not available via apt-get.
So I followed the upgrade instructions to the letter, got the new version all up and running but it no longer is adding anything to any of my graphs. I downloaded and compiled spine and tried it instead of cmd.php and no luck there as well.
I am looking for any direction in trying to determine the problem and getting the graphing back up and running.
Many Thanks
Upgrade from 0.8.8b to 0.8.8h - No longer Graphing

Re: Upgrade from 0.8.8b to 0.8.8h - No longer Graphing
Ping....Ping...
Can anyone offer any help or suggestions on this issue...? Still no polling going on regardless of using cmd.php or spine...
I went to graph debug mode and turned on debugging. I have verified that the file exists that it is looking for, but all of the graphs are still blank:
Not sure what to check beyond this....
Any help would be greatly appreciated

You first need to check the Cacti log for errors, etc... and go from there.

Turns out the troubleshooting didn't help much (all the tests passed) but it did lead me back to through the install step-by-step. Turns out that when I did the apt-get remove cacti (after backing up the db and directory) it also removed the cron job that did the polling. Going back step-by-step through the manual install instructions for 0.8.8h helped me find it, but the debugging pointed me in that direction.
Thanks!
