Cacti cannot collect data at some intervals

Post by impretzel »

Dear all, Cacti is deployed on one of our Linux servers to monitor the traffic for our network. Somehow strangely, Cacti is not able to collect data at some intervals during the period of our daily backup jobs. Related screenshot is attached for your reference. Please advise any comments you have on this case. Thanks so much.

Try increasing the timeout and number of retries for this.

Is the cacti snmp traffic traversing the same link as the backup? The link could be saturated, and if UDP gets dropped it has no mechanism for recovery.

Tried to increase the timeout and number of retires, but the issue is still there...
