Add the historical data to a new Cacti installation

Hi all!
I recently set up a new Cacti box, and want to add the historical data from the old Cacti installation to a new one.

I found this guide:

but I'm not sure if I'm going about it the right way, as I don't want to remove any of the newer graphs.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be great!
