Configuring devies in Cacti then forming the graphs

I am a beginner using Cacti. We have it already installed it and it is in operation.

Using the GUI interface I have already learned to configure for a device and put it on the tree.

That is where it stops.

How can I select each device and configure the graphs on each one.

When I look at a new devices I have placed on the list device list it shows down.

How do I go from there to map in the interfaces and graphs for those interfaces for each device?

How do I get the devices to read a status of UP?

You see I am looking at that device on the list or on the tree and I am expecting the link on that device to bring to pages where I can map the interfaces and graphs for them. But it does not look friendly after the device link.

Click on a device. Then top right corner, "create graphs for this host".
