Cacti - Backup Procedure and Files

Post by charan2016 »

Hello all,

Because i couldnt fix the problem of cacti, i have installed another linux server to make some test. The cacti version installed is 0.8.8.b on both the servers.

I would like to know:

1. What are the files which needs to be taken as backup and restored to the new server (for example: mysql,config)..???
2. What is the procedure to make this?

Thanks a lot in advance

Regards,
Charan

I've summarized this a bit in my blog here: http://blog.network-outsourcing.de/cact ... for-cacti/

Basically these are the things you need to look at:
- Apache configuration
- PHP configuration
- Cacti Cronjob
- Full Cacti directory
- Backup script
- If installed: Spine

The steps are the same for Windows/Linux, just slightly different commands
