Help with data source script not executing

Post by notmike »

Found a script in the forum I want to try here http://forums.cacti.net/about30771.html

Tested the script from command line and was everything was successful. Added as a data query on one of my routers and shows "data query returns 0"
Retested the script as cacti user and found that was not able to create ssh keys, so I fixed that but still no data. It doesnt show up as a data source

Debugging poller I don't see the script actually executing.
Looking at verbose output for data query gives me the below. So the XML seems to be executing but I can't validate the perl script is actually being executed. Turned on debug logging but I don't show any output for this query. How else can I debug to determine why this script isn't running?

thanks

+ Running data query [10].
+ Found type = '4' [Script Query].
+ Found data query XML file at '/usr/share/cacti/resource/script_queries/voice-port-usage.xml'
+ XML file parsed ok.
+ <arg_num_indexes> missing in XML file, 'Index Count Changed' emulated by counting arg_index entries
+ Executing script for list of indexes 'perl /usr/share/cacti/scripts/voice-port-usage.pl snyvg-01 index' Index Count: 0
+ Executing script query 'perl /usr/share/cacti/scripts/voice-port-usage.pl snyvg-01 query ports'
+ Executing script query 'perl /usr/share/cacti/scripts/voice-port-usage.pl snyvg-01 query description'

How can I validate that Cacti is
