After Migrate cacti to new debian server, cacti dosen't work

Post by zztop2006 »

hi all
my old server is debian 7.1 and old cacti is 8.8a.
my new server is debian 8.3 and new cacti is 8.8.b.
i migrate to new server by these steps:
1-export cacti database from old server
2-install fresh cacti 8.8b on new server
3-install same plugin in new cacti
4- in new server rename rra folder to rra_old
5-copy rra and plugins folder to same path on new server
6-in new server import cacti database
7- i log in to cacti in browser and all device and graph and pluginst looks fin.
But any graph dosen't update and all of them freezed!!!

even before import cacti database i manually add a device and create graph for it and they work correctly but after import cacti database anything work and update.

then drop user and database cacti and i import again cacti database but anything changed and all graph freezed and dosen't update.
why is this?
what's wrong?

- Did you edit the crontab file?
- rrd directory permissions are ok?
- If you run the poller manually do you get any errors?
Do you get any errors about architecture? ERROR: This RRD was created on another architecture

If you didn't figure it out until now, please be aware that rrd files are different on 32 and 64 bit systems. You can not just copy past them. Also different versions of rrdtool have different formats. If I am correct, the General Cacti FAQ had an item on migration.
