Invalid Cacti version 0.8.8b, cannot upgrade to 0.8.8

I have the folowing error when trying to upgrade from 0.8.8b to 0.8.8g. Error appears after pointing web browser to:
http://localhost/cacti/

Invalid Cacti version 0.8.8b, cannot upgrade to 0.8.8

problem: linking to the wrong file (cacti-0.8.8.zip instead of cacti-0.8.8g.zip)

After downloading correct version cacti-0.8.8g.zip (21-Feb-2016 20:48 2.8M) from http://www.cacti.net/downloads/ problem is solved.
