Exporting static graphs for remote systems

I want to make my Cacti graphs available to a remote web server.

I'm thinking of a daily dump of specific graph .png files on the Cacti server then transferring them to another server.

The 'Graph Export' page in 'Settings' seems to meet my needs but it doesn't work. Is this what it does? How can I troubleshoot it? Are there any other methods to transfer graphs to remote systems?
