We have upgraded from windows server 2003 to windows server 2012, everything was working fine on 2003.
We are using scripts to poll the QOS queues and at a random interval one spine process will fail to terminate and sit there using a single core, when it happens again at some point the two processes will use both cores and the server will fail to update graphs, I've checked through the logs and theres no indication of anything wrong until it falls over, everything for PHP and mysql is configured identically (or as close as I can get it) from the windows 2003 server.
Any help would be appreciated.

What cacti/spine version?
Does the script include timeout / termination logic?
There are pending patches for spine 0.8.8g which fix spine trying to use mysql results after data being freed.
