Smokeping Plugin
Hello,
I have a problem with the Smokeping plugin and Cacti.
I have installed Smokeping plugin (version 3.00.3) and Cacti (version 0.8.8d, Plugin Architecture Version 3.1) on 2 different server.
I copied the Smokeping plugin to the plugin directory of Cacti and was able to install the plugin using the Plugin Management in Cacti directly.
In the devices section I am now able to choose the action "Add to Smokeping". The plugin also creates the target config file for Smokeping which I copied to the Smokeping server.
After a restart of Smokeping I can see the created section and device but in Cacti I can't see any graph from Smokeping.
I checked the database of Cactio and can see that there are additional columns created by the Smokeping plugin and in some cells there are entries added from the plugin - see below:

Here are some screenshots from Cacti setup.....
The plugin management site.... the settings site of the NMID... Screenshot of the devices section and the action pane... Do you need more screenshots/information?
Thank you.
Kind regards

Re: Smokeping Plugin
Ok,
The config looks ok now.
Can you check if your user has the "NMID - View Smokeping Charts" realm permission enabled ?

Re: Smokeping Plugin
Thank you Phalek.
Now I can see the graph.
I added the permissions but I uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled it and therefore this permission was left and I have to reenable it again.
Now I can go further to integrate all graphs.
Thank you.
If I have further questions I will post again.

Re: Smokeping Plugin
Great.
For your information:
3.00.3 will be the last version that works like this. The new version coming up soon will be tightly integrated into Cacti, so you can actually add smokeping graphs to the tree itself.
This requires patched files for each Cacti version, currently this is only available for the 0.88b version (latest CactiEZ update).
See here for more details: http://blog.network-outsourcing.de/2015 ... ng-plugin/

Thank you for the information.
Re: Smokeping Plugin
There is one question left from my side.
Is it possible to add a second Smokeping graph to one device in Cacti?
For example a firewall with 2 external interfaces and I want to check both interface with Smokeping and show the graph in Cacti?

Re: Smokeping Plugin
Did you try the "Add Interfaces of this device to Smokeping Config" from the drop-down box at the devices page ?
