hi there

I am getting the "SNMP error" below from one of our Juniper SRX240h2 device on cacti -

Model: srx240h2
JUNOS Software Release [12.1X44-D30.4]

From the Vebrose query for SNMP- interface Statistics

Data Query Debug Information
+ Running data query [1].
+ Found type = '3' [SNMP Query].
+ Found data query XML file at '/var/www/html/resource/snmp_queries/interface.xml'
+ XML file parsed ok.
+ Executing SNMP get for num of indexes @ '.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.1.0' Index Count:
+ Executing SNMP walk for list of indexes @ '.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1' Index Count: 0
+ No SNMP data returned

I don't see any graphs and the device state is showing down. can you please help me with this?? do I need to add anything on template ??

Not sure if ex and srx have same oid settings. Your snmp walk is not showing any index count values

+ Running data query [1].
+ Found type = '3' [SNMP Query].
+ Found data query XML file at '/usr/share/cacti/resource/snmp_queries/interface.xml'
+ XML file parsed ok.
+ Executing SNMP get for num of indexes @ '.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.1.0' Index Count: 58
+ Executing SNMP walk for list of indexes @ '.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1' Index Count: 58
+ Index found at OID: 'iso.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.3' value: '3'
+ Index found at OID: 'iso.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.4' value: '4'
+ Index found at OID: 'iso.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.6' value: '6'

I have attached my template for an srx240h device V 12.1X44-D45.2 which works ok (exported from cacti 0.8.8.f) have a try with it.
Also check the cacti log file you will find timeout warnings as the snmp walk dosent seem to finish properly on some of the sub oids and a lot of data is returned. I have set my timeout to 5000 which seems to work apart from that warning.

Sorry should have added the original template probably came from a posting by robogoat not my original work, just current working copy, its difficult to remember where all the various patches originate.
