Data Query [Host MIB - Summary Application Stats]

Post by ronix »

If I try to add an application for CPU or memory monitoring using the Data Query - My Host MIB - Summary Application Stats there are 86,000 items in it.
Most of them seem to be Oracle threads that are no longer running but got picked up in the stats. It makes it very inefficient to find the application you want to monitor.

I guess I need to know how to remove the stale indexes from HMIB?

Did I miss some documented method to reduce the "Summary Application Stats" to just what is running?

How can I get rid of the extra applications in the [Host MIB - Summary Application Stats] ??

I am running Cacti Version 0.8.8b

I would really appreciate some guidance on this,

thanks!

Ron
