Hi,
I have installed cacti and then removed it. However when I tried to reinstall it again I am getting continous error as following.
"Running cli/upgrade_database.php as part of package update...
You are attempting to install cacti 0.8.8b onto a 0.6.x database.
To continue, you must create a new database, import 'cacti.sql' into it,
and update 'include/config.php' to point to the new database."
I am not good at linux and need some detail level of help to resolve it. Can anyone kindly help me out from this. Thanks.

sounds like you want to install cacti on a server which had the old database installed...
so you have to update the database, i think...
Do you need the old database? If the answer is not... drop it

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
Before installing cacti I had cloned my Ubuntu VM. I had used that one to make a fresh installation of cacti and it is running fine now.
Thanks again.
