Interface Availablity Template

Hi all,

I am a newbie to cacti.
Cacti is a wonderful tool and is helping us to monitor the link bandwidth in a better way.
Many thanks to those who have developed cacti.

I am trying to monitor the router interface availability.
With few templates available , I am able to get the ifOperStatus from the routers
RRA settings: DS Type: Guage / CF: AVG / Step: 1 / Polling Interval: 60 seconds

Following values are collected from interface and graphs are also showing those values

Interface UP = 1
Interface DOWN =2

Is there a way / any template to show the uptime (minute / hours) and uptime percentage (%) in the graph with the available data in the RRA

I have gone through the CDEF tutorials (http://oss.oetiker.ch/rrdtool/tut/cdeftutorial.en.html) and thought of using the following CDEF

a,1,EQ,a,0,IF,AVG,100,*

Will this provide the interface uptime percentage on the graph ?

Sounds like a good thing to graph, any one have some ideas on this?
