It seems to 'me', it would be convenient to observe of the device (ports - the status (down/up..etc)) in a GUI-kind(view).

Umm.... And in - general, it would be _desirable_ to thank _founders_ of this _miracle_tool_. The guys (probably - girls? ;)) - supporting it (cacti).
