unable to Apply Thresholds

After upgrading cacti to cacti 0.8.8b (centos yum repo)
I am unable to Apply Thresholds on monitored hosts, I dont see any error in the cacti log,
just blank screen with the following message:

Validation error.

Thold version: 0.50

Any suggestions?
